WEEK 4 - THURSDAY; CHIE (sometime after. the amputation?, room 108)
[ WHAT THE FUCK IS HAPPENING ON THURSDAY, SERIOUSLY.
There had been a sense of dread throughout this entire week, honestly, but the events culminating in today has basically exhausted his regular tolerance for Supernatural Bullshit. Not that it was high to begin with, but it was high enough, considering that he's seen some pretty extraordinary magical bullshit in his relatively short lifetime.
And it isn't even the weekend yet.
But yeah. As it is, after handling Ryou Bakura and his burns, now he's currently dealing with handling Chie, who has her hand amputated and. He's about 95% certain that he can feel the beginnings of a massive headache coming on.
His hands are surprisingly gentle, but steady, when he leads her over to her bed. Makes sure she's settled down and isn't in danger of immediately passing out from pain or what have you before he gives her a Look.
He's waiting for an explanation?? How the hell did that happen? ]

they got her drunk and then knocked her out with blunt force before they cut off her fuckin hand, is what i'm trying to say here.
her eyes are unfocused even as she's propped up on her bed, barely registering her surroundings. it's a miracle she's as conscious as she is so soon after the amputation, if this can be counted as being conscious. it's not even clear if she's aware of what just happened.
with a considerable amount of effort on her part, she lifts her head to meet his gaze, and merely says,]
...My head hurts.
